about

"The Loud EP is a reflection of the struggles my friends and I have faced through the years. Topics include various addictions, relationship problems, suicidal thoughts, and confronting the modern view on sex and relationships. Besides being in a sort of pair with The Quiet EP in terms of name and volume of the music, the name goes a little further. The person on the cover may have her mouth shut, but it almost seems like she's hiding something. Her face may be quiet, but her mind is very loud with thoughts. She may have gone through many struggles, and the hands held tightly on the back show how we have people to hold to get through hard times in our lives. Like her, you can make it through anything with God, your family, and your friends, just remember to hold tightly and never let go." - Ben Vasko aka The Stairwell

about

The Stairwell Berkey, Ohio

From the cornfields of Northwest Ohio, The Stairwell was born in the break-up of the local Christian Rock band, The Fall of Jericho. Lead vocalist and rhythm guitar player, Ben Vasko, decided to give it another shot, this time taking his musical pursuits in a little different direction. A short time later, he began his new project with the intent of recording an ep of his own. ... more

Track Name: My Confession
I’m not perfect by your standards
I’m not mentally sound. No
Will you love me when it’s over?
Will you watch me hit the ground? Oh

(This is my confession, this is where I go down)

I’m not ready to be with you (This is my confession)
But my love will still resound (I can’t go back)
Will you love me when it’s over? (This is my confession)
Oh, watch me hit the ground
Track Name: Stay With Me
I’m tired of breaking your heart
I’m tired of bruising your scars
I’m tired of every single fault I do
I’m tired of this hole in my chest
I’m tired of settling for less
I’m tired of everything I know except for you

So hold on dear
I know we’ll get there

Don’t leave me alone
‘Cause when I do I fall away from you
Don’t leave me alone
‘Cause when I do I fall away from God

I’m tired of lame excuses
I’m tired of vile misuses
I want to see myself inside a different man
I can’t imagine your pain
I wish I could take it away
Maybe in time we’ll repair and make amends

So hold on dear
I know we’ll get there
So hold on child
It’ll be awhile
my
Don’t leave me alone
‘Cause when I do I fall away from you
Don’t leave me alone
‘Cause when I do I fall away from God

I always try to do things on my own
But I know this time I can’t do it alone
So stay with me

Don’t leave me alone
‘Cause when I do I fall away from you
Don’t leave me alone
‘Cause when I do I fall away from God
So stay with me tonight
Track Name: Rich Man
If I had a dollar for every time you threw me away
I could buy the dump that you threw me in
And if I had a dollar for every time you walked away
Well I’d be a rich man baby
Well I’d be a rich man baby and that’s no lie

(How can you live?)
How can you live with all that debt?
(How can you live?)
How can you live with that shadow over your back?
The weight is gonna crush you
And you don’t know how to move
Well I am a rich man baby ‘cause I got away

If I had a dollar for every time you led me on
I could buy all the lemmings that you could ever lead
And if I had a dollar for every time you couldn’t decide
Well I’d be a rich man baby
Well I’d be a rich man baby and that’s no lie

(How can you live?)
How can you live with all that debt?
(How can you live?)
How can you live with that shadow over your back?
The weight is gonna crush you
And you don’t know how to move
Well I am a rich man baby ‘cause I got away
I got away

If I had a dollar for every reason you gave me to leave
Well I’d be a rich man baby
Well I’d be a rich man baby and that’s no lie

(How can you live?)
How can you live with all that debt?
(How can you live?)
How can you live with that shadow over your back?
The weight is gonna crush you
And you don’t know how to move
Well I am a rich man baby
Well I am a rich man baby
Well I am a rich man baby ‘cause I got away
Track Name: This is the End
This is a turnin’ of the tide
So arm yourself with a pen
We’re redrawin’ the lines
Take this song as a letter
Two people and a Savior
Make a change for the better

And I won’t leave and let you fall again

This is the end of the word as we know it
This is the end of the world as we know it

It’s amazing how life turns out
To heal up a shattered heart
When it’s filled up with doubt
Take this song as a letter
As we collide
We make a change for the better

And I won’t leave and let you fall again

This is the end of the word as we know it
This is the end of the world as we know it

And who would have thought
A tale of two broken hearts would end up a love story?
And who would have thought
A tale of bruises and scars would fit so perfectly?
We fit so perfectly
It was meant to be

This is the end of the word as we know it
This is the end of the world as we know it
This is the end, oh this is the end of the world
This is the end of the world as we know it
Track Name: Rain
Have you ever stopped to consider
That I might not be ok?
On the outside I look fine
But on the inside I’m a grave
Laid to waste by the problems I face
Used things to fill the space
Maybe one day you’ll earn my trust
But until then I’ll keep it all hush hush

Let it out
Let it out

Tears pour like the rain (Let ‘em fall, Let ‘em fall)
Tears pour like the rain (Let ‘em fall, Let ‘em fall)
Tears pour like the rain (Let ‘em fall, Let ‘em fall)
Tears pour like the rain (Let ‘em fall, Let ‘em fall away)

When I breathe I breathe in slowly
But I always tend to cry
People think I’m so much stronger
Can’t let ‘em see my red eyes
My heart’s as fragile as a broken vase
I live the life I intend to erase
Stretched to the point of breakin’ in two
Devil’s on my shoulder sayin’ “follow through”

Let it out
Let it out

Tears pour like the rain (Let ‘em fall, Let ‘em fall)
Tears pour like the rain (Let ‘em fall, Let ‘em fall)
Tears pour like the rain (Let ‘em fall, Let ‘em fall)
Tears pour like the rain (Let ‘em fall, Let ‘em fall away)

There’s no shame in crying
No weakness in tears
It releases all the pain
The smoke of trouble clears
You’re perfect in God’s eyes
He’ll be with you forevermore
Don’t believe what the devil say’s you are!

Tears pour like the rain (Let ‘em fall, Let ‘em fall)
Tears pour like the rain (Let ‘em fall, Let ‘em fall)
Tears pour like the rain (Let ‘em fall, Let ‘em fall)
Tears pour like the rain (Let ‘em fall, Let ‘em fall away)
Track Name: Warm Bodies
You wake up hating yourself
‘Cause you wouldn’t listen
You killed your conscience with a knife
And you keep giving yourself away
And you find out
That all he wants is what he can get
And all you’re left with
Is the guilt of what you’ve done

What are you trying to get from those warm bodies?
You’re trying to feel close but you feel more alone
Tradin’ your gold for somethin’ not worth silver
Just to be thrown away
Thrown away

Haven’t you figured out
You’re worth more than he tells you?
But still you insist if you give him what he wants
He can’t resist to stay
You’re only half right
Why would he leave
If you satisfy his evil desires?
You paint your holy temple in black

What are you trying to get from those warm bodies?
You’re trying to feel close but you feel more alone
Tradin’ your gold for somethin’ not worth silver
Just to be thrown away
Thrown away

There’s a light at the end of this tunnel
There’s a place where hope will be found
You don’t need to give in
You can turn your life around

I said you can turn your life around

And you won’t be searchin’ for heat
You won’t be givin’ yourself to warm bodies
You got what you need
You won’t need to try and feel close
‘Cause you will feel close
When you’re loved unconditionally
You will have your soul
And you will be pure again
You’re gold will turn to diamonds
You won’t be thrown away
You’ll never be thrown away again
Your waiting will have an end

And you will be loved
For who you are
So no more warm bodies
Are ever, ever gonna touch this star
